I love antique lace & hearts.

17" tall
Since opening the store I haven't had time to make my own things...I needed to do this!  So I just shut myself away and had some fun.   This is loaded with hand stitching...no hot glue gun here.  The shattered silk and linen coin purse is from the inside of an antique cut steel beaded purse that was falling apart.  I want to make a tiny banner to hang on it saying  "KEEPSAKES".  Wouldn't this be a sweet place to store baby teeth and a curl snippet or your grandmothers wedding ring.  How about a LOVE note?

Simple Math

I am doing the Prairie Sisters Show on Saturday  so I thought I would make a
bouquet of  windmills to pass out to my customers...

Hours later and burned and stabbed fingers this is what I
came up with...as usual the most simple project multiplied
by  60 equals lottsa time...I was never good at math!

rust + chippy paint = delight

from headboard to hanger...what a great life

chippy paint + spoon carved wood = sigh....

A Junking We Shall Go

After a shabby makeover...better?
Before

I went on a junking journey yesterday and these are my finds...

Crazed Bauer bowl...sewing basket with goodies inside and a
vintage roll of telegraph paper + rusty hangy things...

Two old suitcases and three vintage coffee pots plus USA cream and sugar in
this amazing green color

I wish you could see
how beautiful this is.
Wedding Basket

This is so extremely primitive...I love it!

And last of all the three stooges

Bad Blogger Award...

I've been complaining about the quality of my new camera but as I look at these pictures I'm beginning to think that it may be the person behind the camera and not the camera at all....  Karen Sue from Sue Bees & Butterflies called me to wish me a Happy Birthday and told me I'm gonna get the bad blogger award if I don't start posting so...

I fretted over what to do for this large expanse after Christmas

So I looked at window treatments on Pinterest and saw a cutsie one made of  ribbons....

I don't do cutsie but I had a lightbulb moment and dashed out to my
workroom and started tearing  everything that was sort of tea
stained looking and looped it onto a piece of old corner molding..

Chippy drop leaf table

...

Big chunky work table...estate sale...$5

Painted drawer by Cora...I love her work

Denis built this for the shoppe  out of an old window
and some beadboard he tore out of a house in eastern
Montana.  I white washed it but am not happy with it so
will probably continue painting and grunging until I am happy.

This is a 1910-1928 lawn dress...Flapper style...Ilove cotton net lace!
details at the elbow...

Today is my birthday and I have been blessed with well wishes all day! I am so RICH!  My friend Shelly and her hubbsy Marc came by with this picture. Marc put this together with a couple of my childhood pics and one of my Denis to make this adorable picture...The pup was Tippy, my best friend until I was 13 years old. She faithfully licked many tears off my cheeks and followed me on my adventures.
